The Derbyshire Agricultural and Horticultural Society (more commonly thought of as the people who work behind the scenes to put on the Show each year), is a charity which operates entirely with the kind support and more importantly the time of likeminded local people who come together with the same aim; to put on a really good one day agricultural event on the fourth Sunday in June each year.
The purpose is hosting an outdoor event which is accessible, that is not only memorable and fun for all ages but has a focus on traditional family values, whilst being aware of current trends to ensure we have something to appeal to people from all backgrounds and age groups.
We are an easy going group who are always willing to welcome and support anyone that would like to get involved and help keep the society going and reach its charitable aims. Whether it be through helping to run a certain section, helping with the run up to show day, or simply by being an extra pair of hands on show day.
If you feel you would like to be a part of the Derbyshire County Show, please get in touch by calling our general secretary Claire Bowman on 07536 182421 or emailing Claire at info@derbyshirecountyshow.org.uk
