Derbyshire County ShowCANCELLED
We regret to announce that we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Derbyshire County Show for 2020, to protect our exhibitors, stewards, judges and the general public.
We have made this decision with heavy hearts, but owing to the new government measures regarding mass gatherings – and in times of such unprecedented uncertainty – this is now our only viable and responsible option.
We know this decision will be a blow to our incredible volunteers and exhibitors who work so hard to make the show happen. While we very much hope that the situation across the UK will have greatly improved by the end of June, we wanted to give everyone involved as much notice as possible.
We believe that cancelling this year’s event will help protect the Derbyshire County Show for the future and we intend to simply move all the planning that has already taken place forward to 2021.
We will make an announcement regarding show deposits and ticket purchases in due course, but we expect these will either be rolled over to next year or refunded.
We look forward to holding our 140th Show in June next year and wish everyone connected to the Derbyshire County Show best wishes and good health in the coming months.
